Creating and Editing Tasks

How to add Tasks?

  • Touch the add task button in the bottom right of the screen
  • To select a list, touch the list button
  • Touch the list you want and select Ok
  • If you don't select a list, tasks will be saved to your My Tasks or if you are already viewing a list, to that list
  • Enter your task description
  • You can set a task due date and time by entering it's description
  • For example, entering Monday at 9 will set the due date to next Monday at 9am
  • Entering October 23 or Oct 23 will set the due date to October 23rd
  • You can also enter Today or Tomorrow as due date descriptions
  • Touch the arrow icon or the done key on the keyboard to save the task

How to set due dates?

  • If entering task descriptions only, you can set due dates also
  • For example, entering Monday at 9 will set the due date to next Monday at 9am
  • Entering October 23 or Oct 23 will set the due date to October 23rd
  • You can also enter Today or Tomorrow as due date descriptions
  • Touch the Due Date button and then select the date on the calendar for your due date
  • If you want to set a specific due time on your due date, touch the Due Time button and select the time
  • Save the task and your due date will now be set

How to set reminders?

  • If you set a due date on a task, a reminder will be set for 9am on that due date automatically
  • You can choose to customize this due date in the New Task screen
  • Press the + button to add a task in the New Task screen
  • Enter your task details and select the task's due date
  • To customize a reminder, select the reminder button to select the date and time for the reminder
  • Save the task and your reminder will be set

How to create sub-tasks?

  • You can create a list of sub-tasks under an existing task, this allows you to break down tasks into smaller more specific tasks
  • To create a sub-task, press the existing task
  • Touch the sub-task button on the button (3 connected blocks)
  • The screen will be opened and the new task's parent will be set
  • Enter the new task's details and save the task
  • When finished your task will now appear below its parent task
  • You can touch the task to edit it, select the parent icon to change the task's parent or touch the x icon to remove the task's parent

How to create repeating tasks?

  • You can create a task that repeats Daily, Weekdays, Weekly, Monthly or Yearly
  • Press the + button to create a new task
  • Enter your task details and select the due date for the first occurrence of your task
  • Touch the repeating task icon to setup the repeating task
  • If you select Weekly, you can select which days of the week the task repeats on
  • There are 2 options for Monthly, the day of the month or the week number and day within the month, e.g. First Friday of Month
  • Save the task, you will get a notification for each occurence of the repeating task
  • Touching the task will show you a history of the task's due dates, you can complete a specific instance here

How to link contacts to tasks?

  • You can link 1 or more contacts to a task
  • Press the + button to create a new task
  • Enter you task details, description and due date
  • Touch the Contacts button at the bottom
  • Check the contacts you want to assign to your task
  • Use the search field if you need to find a specific contact
  • Touch the save icon and then save the task
  • Your contacts will appear with the task, you can touch the contacts's photo to access their details

How to attach photos or files to a task?

  • You can assign photos or files from your phone or tablet to a task
  • Press the + button to create a new task
  • Enter you task details, description and due date
  • Touch the paper clip icon to add attachments
  • You can take a photo with your camera's device, pick a photo from your gallery or pick a file from your device such as a document or spreadsheet
  • Finish saving your new Task
  • A thumbnail of your photo(s) or a tab for your file attachment will appear with the Task, touch the thumbnail to view the image or the tab to open the file
