How to add Tasks?

  • Touch the add task button in the bottom right of the screen
  • To select a list, enter the @ symbol, you will see a dropdown with all your task lists
  • Touch the list you want or keep typing to filter the lists
  • If you don't select a list, tasks will be saved to your Inbox or if you are already viewing a list, to that list
  • Enter your task description
  • You can set a task due date and time by entering it's description
  • For example, entering Monday at 9 will set the due date to next Monday at 9am
  • Entering October 23 or Oct 23 will set the due date to October 23rd
  • You can also enter Today or Tomorrow as due date descriptions
  • Touch the arrow icon or the done key on the keyboard to save the task
  • If you want to enter additional fields such as Contacts or Location, touch the + icon

How to set due dates?

  • If entering task descriptions only, you can set due dates also
  • For example, entering Monday at 9 will set the due date to next Monday at 9am
  • Entering October 23 or Oct 23 will set the due date to October 23rd
  • You can also enter Today or Tomorrow as due date descriptions
  • Alternatively if adding a task with the New Task screen, you can select the date on the calendar
  • Long press the + button to open the new task, enter your task description
  • Touch the Due Date button and then select the date on the calendar for your due date
  • If you want to set a specific due time on your due date, touch the Due Time button and select the time
  • Save the task and your due date will now be set

How to set reminders?

  • If you set a due date on a task, a reminder will be set for 8am on that due date automatically
  • You can choose to customize this due date in the New Task screen
  • Long press the + button to add a task in the New Task screen
  • Enter your task details and select the task's due date
  • To customize a reminder, select the Reminder Date button to select the date for the reminder
  • To set a specific reminder time, select the Reminder Time button and select the time, otherwise the reminder will occur at the default time (8am/8:00)
  • Save the task and your reminder will be set

How to create sub-tasks?

  • You can create a list of sub-tasks under an existing task, this allows you to break down tasks into smaller more specific tasks
  • To create a sub-task, long press the existing task and when prompted select OK to create a sub-task
  • The New Task screen will be opened and the new task's parent will be set
  • Enter the new task's details and save the task
  • You will be prompted if you want to create another sub-task, repeat as necessary
  • When finished your task will now have a blue highlighted number indicating the number of sub-tasks present
  • Touch the task to view the list of sub-tasks for that task

How to create repeating tasks?

  • You can create a task that repeats Daily, Weekdays, Weekly, Monthly or Yearly
  • Long press the + button to create a new task
  • Enter your task details and select the due date for the first occurrence of your task
  • Touch the One Time Task option to setup the repeating task
  • If you select Weekly, you can select which days of the week the task repeats on
  • There are 2 options for Monthly, the day of the month or the week number and day within the month, e.g. First Friday of Month
  • Save the task, you will get a notification for each occurence of the repeating task
  • Touching the task will show you a history of the task's due dates, you can complete a specific instance here

How to assign contacts to tasks?

  • You can assign 1 or more contacts to a task
  • Long press the + button to create a new task
  • Enter you task details, description and due date
  • Touch the Select Contacts button
  • Check the contacts you want to assign to your task
  • Use the search field if you need to find a specific contact
  • Touch the save icon and then save the task
  • Your contacts will appear with the task, you can touch the contacts's photo to access their details

How to attach photos to a task?

  • You can assign photos from your phone or tablet to a task
  • Long press the + button to create a new task
  • Enter you task details, description and due date
  • Touch the Select Photos button
  • You will be prompted to view your photo gallery on the device or take a photo with the camera
  • Select a photo from your gallery or take a new photo
  • Finish saving your new Task
  • A thumbnail of your photo(s) will appear with the Task, touch the thumbnail to view the image

How to attach Google Drive files to a task?

  • You can assign files stored in your Google Drive to a task
  • Long press the + button to create a new task
  • Enter you task details, description and due date
  • Touch the Attach Drive Files button
  • The first time you attach files, you will be prompted to grant permission to Taskary to access your Google Drive
  • Select the file you want to attach and touch the Select button to confirm
  • Repeat this process to attach more files
  • Finish saving your new Task
  • A file icon will appear with the task, touch the icon to view the file

How to set reminders for a Location?

  • You can get a notification for a task when you are near a location, your device's GPS will be used to alert you
  • Long press the + button to create a new task
  • Enter you task details, description and due date
  • Touch the Select Location button
  • In the Locations screen touch the + button to add a new location
  • To search for a location, enter the description and select from the suggestions
  • Alternatively you can drag the map to a location and place the touch to set the location, enter a description
  • Touch the save icon, then in the Locations screen, select the new location and touch the save icon again
  • Finish saving your new Task
  • A location icon will appear to indicate your task has a location set
  • You will get a notification the next time your device is near that location
  • You can reuse the location for other tasks you create, just select it in the Locations screen
